Hi, We'd love to learn more about cereal deals. How do you, as the article reports, get brand name cereal for no more than $0.50?

HI Rudy, those cereals in this blog post will actually be FREE. First, they were on sale for 2 for $5.00. Then I used a coupon for $1.00 off of 2, making the cost $4.00. Then I got a RR for $2.00 on my next purchse, saving me another $2.00 later. So, I paid $4.00 for the cereal, and I am sending in for the Kellogg's Back to School rebate and I will be getting $10.00 back on that rebate and making the $2.00 RR. So those 2 boxes were a money maker.

I recently got a few coupons for a free box of Rice Krispies Cereal and a free box of Frosted Mini Wheats. Both coupons were from Vocal Point. I will use those to get 2 more free boxes.

When I find a coupon for $1.00 off or $2.00 off, I will gather as many of the coupons as possible and stockpile. Aldi's cereal is $1.79 ( or around that price)and to me, that is too expensive. NOt to long ago, Grape Nuts came out with a new ceral and they had a $2.00 off one box. It was an IP coupon and I printed the coupon twice off of my computer and twice of my husbands computer. The cereal went on sale at Walgreens for $2.50 a box and I picked those up for 50 cents after coupon.

The thing to remember is you can't be brand specific and you have to stock up when the cereal is on sale.

A while ago, Sentry had a deal 6 boxes for $10.00 and get a free gallon of milk. I had coupons for $1.00 off each box of cereal making each box about .66 cents a box and I then had a coupon for $5.00 off your next grocery trip. I used that and paid nothing out of pocket.

I don't buy cereal unless I can get it around 50 cents a box or less.

I try to post the IP coupons that I find, so visit my blog every now and then for IP Coupons.

The most recent $2.00 off cereal coupon was for Honey Bunches of Oats with Pecans. Many readers where picking up those cereals for free or less than 50 cents.
