Not surprised that Hallmark has been offering so many deals lately. I had read an article a few months back about how the popularity of Hallmark Ornament collecting is declining. Can't say if that is really true or not as I don't know.
HI Ceebee,
While I can't attest to the popularity of Hallmark Ornaments declining, I will say that all reatilers are struggling this season and they are trying to find ways to get you into their stores. Also, Hallmark ornaments range in price between $10 and $30.00. Which can be pricey for a family who is struggling this holiday season. For a teacher gift or other small gift, if you pick up a $10.00 ornament and use the $5.00 coupon, it makes for a great gift!
