can you explain how we double coupons for General Mills Cereal?
You said 5 for $10 but if you double, anywhere from free to $1 a box?

David,
If you buy 10 boxes ($20) and you have 5 $1.00 off 2 box coupons (which were in the sunday paper on June 6th and expire on 7/17/10 for the cheerios and assorted cheerios flavors). Those 5 coupons would double, giving you $10.00 off, so you would pay $1.00 a box.

If you are one of the lucky ones who found the $1.00 off one box peelies, those would double and each box of cereal you have a peelie for would be free.

I have had no such lucky finding those peelies, but I know some people who do. But paying a $1.00 a box for cereal is a pretty fair price. We use cereal for breakfast ( of course) but we also you it for snacks and trail mix.

David,
I just wanted to add. I went through my coupons tonight, getting ready for the big shopping trip.
I found these coupons, so here is my cereal deal:

3 boxes of Golden Grahams, $2.00 each, $6.00 - $2.00 double coupon =$4.00
1 box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, $2.00 - $1.10 (.55 cent coupon doubled) = .90
1 box of Honey Nut Chex, $2.00 - $2.00 double coupon = Free
1 box of Trix, $2.00 - $2.00 double coupon = Free

So, I will buy 6 boxes of cereal and pay $4.9, which broken down is about .82 cents a box.

I hope that explains it better. :)
